As I get a fair number of inquiries from people looking for part-time work, I thought I would provide a link & some tips on how to do a search in your area.

Part-time jobs (http://www.simplyhired.com/index.php?ds=sr&q=part+time&l=&sl=save)

1. Using the link above, you would simply want to put in your location in the location field (city, state or zip). You would then hit the search button to bring up part-time jobs in your area.

Example with Mountain View, CA (http://www.simplyhired.com/index.php?ds=sr&q=part+time&l=94043)

2. If you want to refine the results even more, you could put some additional keywords in the keyword area after part-time. You could also put keywords in the "search within results" field", or use the filters on the left to help as well.

Example using part-time customer service in Mountain View, CA (http://www.simplyhired.com/index.php?ds=sr&q=part+time+customer+service&l=94043)

Results using the filters to reduce the distance (within) from 25 to 5 miles (http://www.simplyhired.com/index.php?ds=sr&q=part+time+customer+service&l=94043&mi=5&)

A part-time job is a form of employment that carries fewer hours per week than a full-time job. Workers are considered to be part-time if they commonly work fewer than 30 or 35 hours per week. According to the International Labour Organization, the number of part-time workers has increased from one-fourth to a half in the past 20 years in most developed countries, excluding the United States. There are many reasons for working part-time, including the desire to do so, having one's hours cut back by an employer and being unable to find a full-time job.
