I don't know which side of the fence I land on with this one.
I understand the need for a neat and clean apperance in the workplace but at the same time does a peircing or a tattoo make a worker any less of a good employee? I really don't think so.
I don't think you should discriminate based on age, weight, height, etc. I know that I could are less if the person behind the desk at the gym is 2 pounds or 200 pounds. I'm there to work out and that person has no bearing on what I think about that gym.

This is so true in the workplace like in life. Looks matter alot. I have seen this in the many jobs I use to have. Older employees were making less than what I was making and I just started there. This is why models will never have a problem with many things as long as they can do the work.

I never thought as age as a hurdle to hiring someone unless they had restrictions that would not allow them to do the job.

I think everything comes down to looks. The same way a hot looking girl can get away with some much stuff that an average looking girl can. Take for example a hot girl gets pull over for speeding, they get off with a warning and a not so hot girl with get the ticket.

I'm not by any stretch of the imagination a "hot chic" and I have drove away without getting tickets.
Not that I don't think looks play a part in life, it would be nieve not to, but being able to communicate clearly and in a thoughtful manner has a lot to do with how far you can get in life.

An equal balance is usually a good thing, if you can swing it. :)

There is actually a great deal of evidence to support some of the information found in the article. Many Presidents, for example, tend to be fairly tall men...I believe many of the same numbers hold true for people that are in CEO positions.
I've gotten out of a speeding ticket & I'm not a woman. I was, however, pulled over by a female rookie cop:)

Well you know Damon, if what all the ladies at the bay say is true, you may have more documentation for the story. ;)
