Before I went to be last night I did my usual ritual of brushing my teeth before I drift off to sleep (like we all should do). As I generally know my way around the house without the lights on, I went into the bathroom and didn't turn the lights on because I *knew* where all of the items I needed were. Last night, however, I ended up putting Cortizone (anti-itch stuff I had for some mosquito bites) on my toothbrush & brushed my teeth with it for 30 seconds before I realized what it was (I generally use a natural toothpaste that doesn't have much taste...which was a factor in why I couldn't tell I was brushing my teeth with the wrong thing). I finally noticed & began to brush my teeth with real toothpaste...

What have I learned?
1. Turn the bathroom light on when brushing your teeth.
2. If It doesn't taste like toothpaste, it probably isn't toothpaste.

Positives:
My teeth don't itch:)

:D That's pretty gross. No minty flavor there.

3. Don't leave Cortizone on the bathroom counter.

"3. Don't leave Cortizone on the bathroom counter."

They shouldn't make it look like a toothpaste tube.

I also brushed my teeth with soap once because I didn't have any coffee before trudging off to the bathroom :D I am not the smartest (or happiest) person first thing in the morning.

Soap in the mouth is no good. :) I don't know what is worse. You tell me.

I vote for the cortizone because I had to figure out what the taste was:) I know what soap tastes like because my mom...ummm... had to wash my mouth out more than once:)

I havent' done that, Damon, but there's a tube of Cortizone sitting in our medicine cabinet instead of our linen closet where all that stuff usually lives. I guess my husband moved it there. Every time I look at it, sitting right next to the toothpaste, I think to myself, "I'm going to do something really stupid one of these days and brush my teeth with that".

I hope my story prevents you from the tragedy I encountered:) I guess it was better than brushing my teeth with Preparation H...or something along those lines....

How right you are! My teeth, however, would be blemish free:)

Agreed. I wouldn't, however, be able to feel my teeth;)
