Hi,

The blog below shows that getting fired isn't the end of the world. As a matter of fact, many people that get fired choose to use it as a way to look at why they got fired, what they can do to avoid getting fired in the future, and what steps they should have taken at their last job.

***It also appears that being very honest about why you got fired can help in an interview IF you respond in a favorable manner.

When God closes a door, he opens a window.

I think if you have the right attitude about losing your job, it can actually be a positive experience. I've been laid off twice. The first time, once I got over my shock (I was still pretty fresh out of college, wet-behind-the-ears and didn't see the signs of mass layoffs coming), I realized I never liked that job to begin with. The second time worked to my advantage. I didn't have to relocate to a city where I didn't want to live and I got a years' severance out of the deal. I found another job almost right away, so I collected double salary for about 10 months--and was able to purchase my first house.
