Rosenberg & David Hizer also has a section on networking. While I will not cover all of the points here because I would like you to buy the book, I will offer some valid points below.
Points:
1. Be careful not to wear out your contacts. In other words, don't abuse your relationship with them by always asking for help.
2. Show courtesy when they give advice. You did, after all, contact them for help.
3. Be sure to write down any questions you have before the call or meeting.
